You Have Got To Be Kidding Me

So it looks like I was responsible for the Rome School Budget passing. I considered voting but thought it too much of a lost cause to go to the polls. And now I find that ONE VOTE passed the budget.

I have to go be sick now.

    Well, yes it does make a difference. Maybe a 95% budget would mean 1% less property tax increase.

    It's very interesting that the lawyers for the distrcit (we pay for those too?) made sure that one vote margin stood and that all other votes one second after the deadline didn't count. They know that if there was a revote, it would go down in flames.

    I just hope I'll be more diligent in discussing the school budget in the future.

    There ya' go . . . Every vote DOES count!It's all Rome Hater's fault that the budget passed! OUCH! :)
