Fight Club: Mayoral Edition
It appears the decades old battle between Rome and Utica extends to a State Senate race. Former Rome mayor Joe Griffo and former Ed Hanna waterboy Tim Julian will battle it out for the least influential position in Albany.
This pretty much cements the idea that government is a big sucking hole. Whoever becomes state senator gets to run for Congress in 20 years. Julian is trying to jump the mayor-county exec-state senator line, while Griffo is picking up a wife to nail down the seat. My prediction for the winner of this contest? Michael Arcuri.
