What in the Hell is Wrong with David Paterson?
I'm back. I couldn't let this one go. Besides the incompetent boob who was elected President and the dilettante running for Senate, we have a governor who may actually be worse than the whoremonger who previous oozed into office in 2006.
New York is poised to enter the Cuomo years of high taxes and insane fees all over again. Soda tax, haircut tax, multiple fees. Property tax rebates are gone. We don't have to wait for Obama to kill the economy, Paterson is going to dismantle the Upstate economy all by himself.

To think I was actually starting to REALLY LIKE this guy!
This blew it entirely for me. There is so much money that is still being given away for no good reason . . . like the hundreds of millions to the Utica school district for a massive building program . . . which is being replicated similarly elsewhere throughout the entire state. He could probably balance the budget by eliminating that program alone.
BTW - Glad you're still here

I used to go by Roman Hokie. Anyway, I'm glad you're still here, too.
Must... leave... NY...
I'm also interested in what you think about the politician who was asked about the Senate seat (I think) and responded, "I don't DO Utica"... What a loser.

Oh, failed to mention. At least we can expect his staffers to NOT be watching SNL any more. The skit mocking him was awesome. I don't care WHO you are.

I'm disappointed with the impression because it ruined my opportunity to use my jokes
a. Is the governor BLIND to the needs of upstate?
b. Of course Paterson wants a tax on haircuts. He doesn't have to look at people's hair.

Enjoyed this column in today's Daily News about the obesity tax. Why are New Yorkers being targeted for obesity when we're actually one of the healthiest states?

Years ago, I wrote a post about the stupidity of sin taxes. The true goal of these taxes is to feed off addicts, not to curb their behavior.

Think about this. Is there a "sin" to haircuts? There's an additional fee now. And some environmentalists will even tell you that shorter hair leads to less usage of water, plus the shampoos where you need to repeat your lather and rinse because your hair is longer.
