Rome, NY Sucks

But At Least We're Not Utica

George Fox and Kristen

Those are the assumed names of former New York governor Elliot Spitzer and one of his paid escorts, respectively. This is pretty big news across the state. Unfortunately, a bullying legal hatchet man who New York voted into gubernatorial office with 70% of the vote needs to pay for prostitutes in order for 70% of New York to ask for his removal.

Spitzer was hated among the business community and many normal New Yorkers long before he became governor. I never believed in this Day One crapola and now that Year One is barely over, the steamroller era has ended.

    To Rome Sucks:
I can understand your feelings. But you might do as I did.Leave New York, get an education,Complaining will not help.New York is for losers. The fastest growing areas are prisons and graveyards, not very nice places.California helped me to retire at a very young age with a personal worth of more than 1 million dollars. So leave Rome and use your head for something than to keep your ears apart!!

From born and grew up in Rome

So, getting another graduate degree is the answer? Interesting.

    Don't assume I'm uneducated.

It's not just Rome, NY. All of upstate NY sucks. What you have here are people who are not ambitious enough to get out of their own way mixed in with government employees. You are either unemployed or public employed.

Look at Rome. If you take away the Wal-Mart, Fast Food, Home Depot jobs you have a City 100% on the government dole. This is not an economy, it is a socialist wasteland.

This entire class of people consistantly vote to crucify any proposal of private business to stay alive. So, there is none. The liberals and the lazy got exactly what they have been voting for. Live with it.

The rest of you . . . get out while you still can. For people who want to work, there are jobs almost everywhere in this country except Upstate NY.
