Pay or Don't Play

Predictably, NY politicians are waffling on the Oneida Nation "decision" yesterday. Fortunately, the Upstate Citizens' Alliance is putting their feet to the fire. I would personally enjoy Spitzer getting sued for a change.

Now, the legislature could choose to adopt the same compact giving the Turning Stone tax free autonomy once more. Hopefully, for the sake of similar businesses like Vernon Downs, New York will consider taxes or payments in lieu of taxes that can't be withdrawn at Ray Halbritter's choosing.
